Un week-end à Saint-Malo

French Short Novel for Beginners (A1)

A message in a bottle. Six hours on an island.

Jojo, the old mechanic who sold Léa her workshop, asks her to come to Saint-Malo: Léa's mother has called him. Léa and Sam take the train to Brittany for a rainy weekend, and Jojo promises to talk 'at low tide'. On Sunday morning, on the sand path to the island of the Grand Bé, Sam finds a bottle with a message in English, written twenty years ago by a nine-year-old girl from Jersey. The tide comes back in six hours. A short, adult novel for complete beginners of French (A1).

Read chapter 1: Gare Montparnasse

Samedi, huit heures.
